Oh to be a senior!

Oh boy! I made it through the first two weeks of my senior year in high school!! Ahhh!!! So much to say....

The first day of school was pretty good. We went back on Tuesday August 26. It really wasn't as big of a deal this year probably because i've been doing this high school thing for awhile now and we pretty much all know each other and we know all the teachers and they know us. So it was really just like coming back from a short break.

My class schedule:

1A: Pre- Calculus...Bailey

2A: Student Aide

3A: Yearbook...Dudzinski

~~where i'm an editor. yay! :D~~

4A: Early Release

5B: Government...Buck

5B: (next semester) Interior Design...Boyd

6B: Housing...Boyd

6B: (next semester) Economics

7B: AP English IV....Springstead

8B: Early Release

soooo....my schedule is definately not as packed this year. only one AP class, which I think is all I can handle because AP English IV covers about 2 other AP classes...sooo hard. But yeah, I think it'll be fun.

Also this year we have a new dress code where whe have to where a collared shirt in certain colors and either khaki, navy, or black pants...and only black or brownish or navy shoes....fun. It actually hasn't been too bad and some people have even figured out how to make it look cute. Some girls have even worn jumpers...which some people shouldn't be wearing...and you would never see me wearing even though I wish that I could.

The friday before school started we had "Meet the Panther" which is basically a big pep rally thing where all the fall sports are introduced (mainly the football team) and the band, color guard, drill team, and cheerleaders. Me and the other two editors came to take pictures and such. So other than it being my first Senior event, it was my first event as Yearbook editor! I love it :) I don't have any pictures that I'm allowed to put up here until the yearbook is out, but I do have a picture of me right before I went with my yearbook shirt from last year. :) haha

This is the second year that North Crowley has officially allowed Seniors to paint their parking spots. I really wanted to because it sounded like a fun thing to do and a fun memory to have. A couple of weeks before school started I had Michele (she's the artsy/creative friend) start helping me come up with ideas for my spot. We came up with some different ideas but our final idea was SOOOOO cute and we did it for most of Labor Day weekend...so here it is!

This is me standing on my old and boring spot....

About two weeks ago (same weekend as painting my spot) we had our first football game against Mansfield Summitt. We didn't play too horribly, but we still lost. :( The game itself was not really what was exciting though. I got to take pictures at the game for Yearbook which meant that I got to get into the game for free and have the best place to watch the game. It was really interesting because I was terrified that I was going to get tackled by a player running off the field to catch the ball, but thankfully nothing like that happened. I mostly followed the big time photographers around so I could figure out the best places to take pictures and such. It was fun watching the players yell at each other when they got mad at each other. ohhh good times. It was really tiring thought walking up and down the length of the football field several times, but still fun and a good learning experience.
Oh! also, on September 1(i think) I registered to vote!!! ahhh!! crazy! I can't believe I'm going to be old enough to vote soon!

Well, that's all I can think of to write about for now. More Senior stuff to come! :D

Here we go again!

So, last Wednesday was my Senior registration...wow, it's just so weird! It really does feel like two days ago i was going into high school. I'm actually really excited about my senior year of high school. I don't know why, it's kind of hard to explain. I just know a lot of exciting things are going to happen at school, church, and just in my life in general. I also just know that God has something really big in store, which he always does, but I feel like there's going to be something extra special.
Then Saturday was my Senior pictures!! Ah! It was crazy putting on that cap and gown...I'm pretty sure my mom almost cried. :) But yeah, I only did the portrait picture and the cap and gown picture...I'm gonna do the other stuff later and hopefully have a friend take some of me. I think that would be fun and make it even more personal. So this is the last week of summer before I am a Senior!! I can't wait. :) I'm going to be a yearbook editor which is pretty exciting! I have a crazy road ahead full of fun senioir activities, cramming in time with friends before we go off to college, and just preparing for college and making big decisions....it's great. haha ;)

Catching up

So since I'm starting this blogging thing at the end of the summer I haven't been able to talk about all that's happened this summer. That's gonna be hard to do since I've done a lot. So I'll do my best by covering the big stuff. ;)

This was at youth camp! We were at the zip line where me and Michele watched Jennifer and Rebekah go down it :) haha...we're chicken

Below is a picure of my family group at camp!! GOOOO TEAM Wii!!!!!! "Wii are #1...#1 is Wii! Wii are #1....#1 is Wii!!!!" haha!

This year was the first year for me to lead a family group at youth camp. I co-student lead with Jennifer and our adult leader was Kay Meredith...which I have to admit I was a little intimidated about at first, but she was awesome! This group was awesome! I think we just had a really good mixture of kids and I was blessed to see how God was working in their lives. This year's theme was "Everything" which is a pretty broad theme, but it was so powerful. We talked a lot about how God is Sovereign over everything and is completely in control and because of that we don't have to worry about anything. Powerful week!

Last day of camp! :'( Wearing our camp shirts and looking sooo tired. (Maybe because we stayed up all night..hehe) I had trouble taking pictures by the end of the week.

Just some summer fun at Kristen's 17th birthday party!

Our whole youth group standing, while tubing, stopped halfway down the river to make sure everyone was still together...and before we all got to this point it started poring down rain and still is in this picture. It was fun :)

After we made our choir tour trip down to Lytle, Texas....awesome trip!!...Home concert!! :D

At a Rangers vs. Yankees baseball game...fun stuff!! :D And also when two out of the three buses had some trouble when our entire lane on the highway suddenly put on their brakes and one bus hit a guys trailer and another guy hit one of the church buses....but nothing was serious thank goodness!

JOSHHHH HAMILTON! :D <3

cool panning shot :)

Well, that's all I'm gonna do for catching up with my life....hopefully I'll be consistent with updating with things going on in my life :)

Oh the '90s

So recently I was on Youtube and I saw something that reminded me of '90s boy bands....so I started looking at many amusing music videos from groups like Backstreet Boys and NSYNC. Then I found the music video to MMMbop by Hanson! I had forgotten how much I loved that song...very addicting! So later that weekend me and my friends were looking at a bunch of other '90s music videos full of boys bobbing their shoulders up and down. Throughout all of this we found some more recent stuff of Hanson...and boy are they goood! I had kind of forgotten about them and didn't really expect much from them. but no. they are awesome!!!!! :DI have re-discovered Hanson and have a new love for them.

This is a video of the famous hanson song called MMMbop!!! :D

It's kind of funny that this song was and still is so popular....but it's so addicting and very catchy...so I guess that's why. This is them singing the song 10 years later on their 10th anniversary album Middle of Nowhere Acoustic.....still awesome! :D

So Michele and I have had several conversations about them in the past few days....I've added pretty much all of their songs as my favorites on youtube....I'm not obsessed. :) You should definately go check out their recent stuff....it's super good! It's kind of funny that now many years later I love music and fads from the '90s just as much or even more now than i did then....ha. well, that could be because i was little for most of the '90s....but still. I remeber (especially in 2nd and 3rd grade) all of my friends being obsessed with all the boy bands and such. It makes me lagh out loud. ha.

Yay For Blogging!

So I have FINALLY made a blog! I've been meaning to for awhile now but I've just been too lazy/forgetful to.

So right now I'm just trying to figure everything out and make it look somewhat inviting. I'll probably be begging for help(michele) several times. I'm excited though because with facebook and such you don't get to really do any blogging which is what I always loved about Xanga...which is practically a gohst town now. Well...I'm going to leave it at that for now. Leave me lots of comments and suggestions. I'll probably put something up later...even today.
